Far Far West Quests: Every Questline and NPC Guide

How Quests Work

Questlines hang off named NPCs per region, and they matter more than side content usually does: completing a region’s questline is the main unlock condition for the next region (maps guide). Rewards run from currencies to horse skins to unique Jokers.

The Questlines

Otto’s Quest (Canyon)

The one everyone searches. Otto is Canyon’s quest NPC; his chain includes quiz-style prompts and running objectives, and completing the Canyon quest chain unlocks the Flash McEquine horse skin. Community full-guides cover the quiz answers — the questions rotate from a fixed pool, so the answer sets are stable.

Trackman Quest

A multi-stage chain (searches for “trackman quest 3” tell you how far people get stuck). Stage gates are objective-based, not level-based — if a stage won’t advance, you’ve missed a trigger on the map rather than being underleveled.

Trainwreck Questline

Trainwreck events on Far West and Canyon aren’t just loot piñatas — there’s a questline attached to the mysterious train wreck. Finding the lost engine is one of its search-driving steps.

Hunter House & Incomplete Logbook

Two more chain-starters players stumble into: the Hunter House on its map, and the Incomplete Logbook item that opens its own objective chain.

Region Unlock Quests

“To The Woodlands We Go!” (Far West → Woodlands), the Jungle unlock chain, the Hellfire unlock, and the Far Far North quest added around Frostburn. Each follows the same pattern: find the quest giver, finish the chain, region opens.

Quest Tips

  • Check the map for NPC markers before assuming a region has no quests left.
  • Secret missions are separate — those are environmental puzzles with Joker rewards, not NPC chains.
  • Quiz answers are pool-based: wrong answers just cost time, so guides that list the pool solve Otto permanently.
